Scout Reach Camping Trip

(October 25-27, 2024)

The ScoutReach program in the council services the youth in the more impoverished areas of our council.  Our troop has camped many times with scouts from Troop 24 in Camden and great friendships have been made as a result.  This camping trip will give attendees the opportunity to work toward merit badges in Archery, Camping, First Aid, Cooking and Fingerprinting.  See below for the permission slip AND under the medical form tab to access the medical form.  We need to have sections A & B of the medical form completed for this event.  This does not require a doctor to complete.  The cost for the trip is $30 which covers food and the program.  I will need to know by Wednesday whether you plan to attend.  So far, Mr. Bogie and Jacob and Mr. McFadden and Daniel are planning to attend along with myself.  Forms and fees will be collected on Friday when we meet.   As a troop we will set up our campsite to show a typical scout patrol camp setup for the Scout Reach people to see.  We were planning to do a Peach Cobbler but charcoal fires are currently prohibited due to drought conditions.
